Humbug Is the Arctic Monkeys Greatest Album To Date

by Patrick Daniels

English rock band Arctic Monkeys has just released their third and latest album to anxiously awaiting fans. The title of the latest album is Arctic Monkeys Humbug and this new Arctic Monkeys CD is amazing. I caught them back when they hit the charts with I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor and that was it, I was sold. Then I started listening to them and finally gave in and bought their first CD album Whatever People Say I am, That’s What I’m Not, and I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed all of their music on the CD. I mean this was not the type of album that you skip from song to song on, it was good through and through.

Although I love all three CDs this latest release is my favorite, by far. It was co-produced by Josh Homme, Queens of the Stone Age and James Ford the drummer from The Last Shadow Puppets. The album has a more psychedelic sound then their previous albums, and you can see how the band has evolved just by listening to the lyric of each track.

Heavy and lush are the best ways to describe this latest album, but not to worry the music has not changed that much, if anything it is just a bit more advanced with most of the same qualities that Arctic Monkey fans have grown to love. Who would have thought that these guys could produce sounds like this? And to think that the whole thing started with guitars they got for Christmas and taught themselves to play. That is one of the best things about them, they are completely self made.

Track titles, from upcoming Artic Monkeys Humbug, include:

My Propeller

Crying Lightning

Dangerous Animals

Secret Door

Position Approaching

Fire and the Thud

Cornerstone

Dance Little Liar

Pretty Visitors

The Jewelers Hand

If you are a fan of the Arctic Monkeys, then this is an album that you will definitely want to add to your collection. It is the absolute best, that I have ever heard from the band, and with so many great songs, it is hard to even pin point one that will stand out above the rest.
