The Short And Simple About Mp3 Music Downloads

by Jonathan Hansen Denton

Free Mp3 music downloads are not as free as you think. There is a lot of printed information online and telling which sites are fact and which are pure fiction isn’t easy. Everyone wants to pay less, or nothing, for what they want. But have you ever asked what is in the freebies for the web owner? Even if you were duped into believing you were on a legal free site, your actions are still held up as your own responsibility.

While there are a handful of free sites that are quite legitimate and are looking to profit through things like advertisers and other promotions, most are not. Any site offering free music downloads for free but offers a very limited song selection is likely not really legal. These sites are up and running one day and closed down the next.

Many of the free sites are really looking for profits in a different way, and sometimes this can be nothing more than being able to access your information through a virus. Sometimes you can’t tell what the site’s angle is until after it has been shut down and long gone.

Is it worth it to pay for your Mp3 music downloads? Yes. While there are many free sites out there that offer virus protection promises and legal free access, the hassles of figuring out each aspect of the rather complex copyright laws invalidate the time and money saved on the free sites.

Don’t pay more than a dollar per song if you are looking for the best deal. Some paid sites charge less than a dollar, but the important thing is actually the quality of the site. Customer services and answering tech questions is the mark of a professional service.

Most paid sites will back up your purchases. This means if you’re storing your downloaded music on a drive that becomes compromised, you will still have access to the music you have previously paid for. While the entire process of restructuring and transferring the files is annoying, at the very least it is not costly.
